Men in the Sun

The book Men in the Sun by Ghassan Kanafani ... "Men in the Sun," is the legitimate lost scream, it is the Palestinian voice that was lost long ago in the tents of displacement, and which suffocates inside a truck driven by a castrated man who was defeated once before and will lead everyone to death. And as a novel, it does not claim to express the lived Palestinian reality in its intertwined relationships, it is a symbolic framework for multiple relationships revolving around Palestinian death, and around the necessity of escaping it towards discovering the historical act or searching for this act based on asking the basic question: "Why didn't they knock on the tank walls."
