Game components: wooden board, colored stones, playing cards. It can also be played by two to six players, and the game rules allow four players to play on the six-player board.
How to play Jakarot: the game is based on competition between two teams, each team consisting of two players to reach the end of the game and win. The first player succeeds in entering all stones into their correct path. Then they play with their partner and help them win. But there are rules and regulations that must be adhered to during play, including:
Each player gets 4 stones of the same color.
Each player places their stones in the house on the game board.
One of the players distributes the cards to all players throughout the game, so each player takes four cards per turn, in four consecutive turns. But in the last turn, each player has five cards.
The first to start playing is the player on the right of the card distributor.
These were the basic principles of Jakarot. But the actual gameplay depends on the cards and their properties. We will explain the importance of each card in the game.
The cards in Jakarot are divided into two categories: regular cards and advanced cards.
Regular cards in Jakarot:
Card number 2 is used to move the player two steps.
Card number 3 is used to move the player 3 steps forward.
While card number 4 is used to move the player 4 steps backward.
Card number 5 is used by the player in two ways: either to move 5 steps forward, or to move their partner 5 moves.
Similarly, card number 6 moves the player 6 steps forward.
For number 7, the situation differs. It can divide the seven steps among the player's stones, provided that the 7 steps are separated for one hole.
Card number 8 is used to move the player 8 steps forward. Similarly, card number 9 moves the player 9 steps forward.
Advanced cards in Jakarot:
In these cards, the game rules are more clever, and each player must benefit from them correctly, including:
The Sheikh card, which is considered the strongest card in Jakarot, with several capabilities. The first is moving a stone thirteen moves. But on its way, it eats all the stones of opponents in front of it, returning all stones in its path to the starting point. The second property is moving the player's stone from their house in the game to the base, or what is called the foundation.
The Cut card has three properties:
First, moving a stone eleven moves.
Second, moving a stone one move.
Third, moving the player's stone from the house to the foundation. The player must use their intelligence to determine which property to use during play.
Card number 10 moves the player ten steps forward. The player can also ask their opponent sitting on their right to discard one of their cards.
The Red Young Man card moves the player 11 steps forward.
The Black Young Man card in Jakarot allows the player to replace their stone with another from their opponents.
Similarly, the Red Girl card enables the player to choose a card from the player on their right, and if that player has exhausted all their cards, they are considered to have stopped playing.
The Black Girl card moves the player 12 steps forward.
This concludes the explanation of the importance of each card in Jakarot and how to use them.
Notes:
It is worth mentioning that during the game, each pair of players facing each other share in the game. If one player connects their four stones to the foundation area, they win the round. But if they still have some cards, they can continue playing with the help of their partner and playing together with their stones.
The game consists of several steps, starting from the house, passing through the path and the alley steps, and ending at the foundation.
A player cannot start playing and move a stone unless they have one of the two cards (Sheikh or Cut), to move from the house to the foundation.
Each player plays one card per turn, then the turn passes to the next player, following the order.
