Dairy herder from Oberhasli, Canton of Bern

The painting depicts a "Laitière" (milkmaid) from the Oberhasli region, and a character representing rural women who work in dairy production, which is an important traditional profession in the Swiss mountain areas like Oberhasli. The painting likely shows a woman wearing the traditional regional dress, perhaps with a natural background highlighting the mountain scenery of the Canton of Bern.
