Silk House

The House of Silk Throughout the time of the novel "Between the Silk," its two heroes move; "Dolt," the revolutionary girl in her twenties; and "Mohsen Al-Hakim," the fifty-year-old writer, between several historical places in Cairo, seeking this ancient spirit that dwells within her. While, in the background of their meeting place, smoke and the shouting of crowds of the "revolution" swirl in the streets with different rhythms. Under the flames of the highs and setbacks of this "revolution"; the bridge of these two contrasting ages will open, allowing the exchange of many fresh and untried feelings. Also, many questions about each of their lives, and life in Egypt in general, which was on the verge of major transformations, will scatter on the stage of their meeting, making the "revolution" seem like a puzzle whose code was difficult to decipher at that time. All the questions triggered by this age difference between the two heroes were often unanswered. Dolt and Mohsen did not realize then that they were occupying, with this exceptional friendship, a small space on the land of this mysterious future that had not yet appeared.
