About the book: Animal Farm, a story of animals through which George Orwell presents a satirical satire and criticism of totalitarian regimes, and of man of power and his deviations. One day, the animals, after being moved by the noble ideals of the old pig "Major," decided to revolt against their master, hoping to live an independent life governed by justice, cooperation, and peace among all. When the farm fell into the hands of the animals, respect for the Seven Commandments, which exalted peace, prevailed, and the diversity among them was confirmed. The enemy was clearly identified: it was man, and all the animals agreed on that. But the pigs quickly reached the point of monopolizing power, enslaving the other animals, exploiting their intelligence to control their fears, and distorting the past for their own benefit. The noble ideals were rapidly corrupted, and the general principles were spoiled. The dictator "Napoleon" appeared, establishing self-worship, placing the other animals in a state of submission to him, and exhausting them with strenuous work. Despite this, he managed to keep the flame of hope alive within them, set an impossible goal before them, and promised them a better life. He left them inside this utopia. Years passed, and nothing distinguished the pigs from their former masters... In the end, only one of the original Seven Commandments remained written on the wall: "All animals are equal," but some animals are more equal than others. This brilliant metaphor imagined by George Orwell illustrates the deviations of politics and power, and also astonishingly depicts how the desire for change can lead to dictatorship, how easily the mind can be controlled with flashy speeches, and how animals ended up believing anything, ultimately prompting reflection on the power of propaganda.
