Bucephalandra sp. Green Long Leaf XL

Bucephalandra sp. Green Long Leaf XL 🌿

A unique tropical aquatic plant featuring long smooth glossy foliage with a deep green coloration and elegant natural shine. Unlike many common Bucephalandra varieties, this plant develops noticeably elongated and streamlined leaves that create a calm and refined tropical appearance inside aquariums and humid environments.

The offered XL size comes exceptionally dense with multiple mature growth points, giving aquascapes, terrariums, and paludariums an instantly established natural appearance.

This plant can be grown fully submerged in aquariums or within high-humidity environments such as terrariums and paludariums. For best results, the rhizome should be attached to rocks or driftwood rather than buried in substrate.

CO2 injection is not mandatory for healthy growth, although the plant benefits significantly from stable water quality, balanced ecosystems, and medium to bright lighting. Under stable conditions, the foliage gradually develops fuller growth and enhanced glossy coloration.

In nature, these plants grow on wet rocky surfaces near rainforest streams, making them highly suitable for naturalistic and bioactive environments.

✨ Based on our experience at Mimosa Pudica:

What makes this plant especially distinctive is its unusual elongated leaf shape compared to most standard Bucephalandra varieties. Its smooth glossy foliage creates a refined tropical appearance while remaining highly adaptable and stable in humid enclosed ecosystems.
