Kuyum begins with pure black pepper and fresh mandarin, well hidden under a woody leather accord. They are here to elevate the scent, to awaken it, then Kuyum moves to a dark warm woody heart: an ionic accord of warm violet along with patchouli and cedarwood that blends smoothly with the base accord made of the leather described above. This tough leather is softened by the sweet scent of labdanum, and there is also a hint of smoke in the distant base – black smoke from juniper tar and white bitter smoke from Styrax, giving Styrax a slightly burnt shadow in the base.
