هذه الأقواس المتعاقبة كأنها أمواجٌ من فجرٍ خزفيّ، تتوالى في انتظامٍ آسر حتى تأخذ البصر في دروبٍ من التكرار البهي. ويمنحها اللون اليوسفي دفئًا محبّبًا، فيما يبقي العاجي على صفائها واتزانها، فتولد من أبسط العناصر زينةٌ ذات مهابة.

وفي اللوحة درسٌ في قوة الإيقاع؛ إذ لا تحتاج إلى كثرة الموضوعات كي تبلغ أثرها، بل يكفيها هذا النسق المتصاعد ليصير المشهد كلّه ضربًا من الموسيقى المرئية. إنها هندسةٌ مرحة، لكنها مؤدبة، وبسيطة، لكنها آسرة.
