يقف السائر في هذه اللوحة بين بحرٍ هائجٍ وسربٍ لا ينتهي، كأنه رجلٌ امتحنته المسافات فلم يزده الامتحان إلا ثباتًا. تتكسر الأمواج حوله زرقاء بيضاء، ثم ترتفع فوقه أسراب اليوسفي كأنها قدرٌ مندفع، ومع ذلك يظل قائمًا برمحه، في صورةٍ تجمع الضعف البشري وجلال المواجهة. (مستوحاة من الأوديسة)

The wanderer in this work stands between a restless sea and an unending swarm, like one tested by distance and made steadier by the trial. Blue-white waves break around him while tangerine forms surge above like a rushing decree, yet he remains upright with his spear, embodying both human fragility and the majesty of defiance.
