ليست هذه المخدّة مجرد عنصر ديكور،

صُنعت بحشوة من مزيج القطن والبوليستر لتوازن مدروس بين النعومة والثبات،مريحة في الاستخدام، وحاضرة بصريًا دون مبالغة.
جميع الأقمشة مختارة بعناية من محلات محلية، وانتقتها الفنانة بنفسها لتنسجم مع هوية العمل وخلفيته، وتتكامل مع أجواء البيوت والمجالس السعودية الكلاسيكية التي كبرنا عليها، وما زلنا نختارها اليوم كمجالس للمحافل واللقاءات.
اختارت الفنانة النجمة الإسلامية ذات الزوايا الرباعية الثمانية كعنصر بصري أساسي، بوصفها شكلًا مرتبطًا بهويتنا البصرية والروحية، وحاضرًا في ذاكرتنا الجمعية. تم دمج هذا الرمز ضمن أقمشة مألوفة، نراها دائمًا في بيوتنا، لتكون القطعة امتدادًا لما نعرفه ونشعر به، لا عنصرًا دخيلًا على المكان.
مع تغيّر الزمن وتبدّل الأشكال والأنماط، تغيّرت نظرتنا للمجالس، وأصبحت تُرى أحيانًا كمساحات اعتيادية. لكننا مع الوقت تقبّلناها… ورضينا بها.
لا لأنها مجرد فراغ، بل لأنها مساحة نملؤها نحن بهويتنا.نملؤها بفناجيل القهوة والشاي، بالكرم والجود، بالسعادة،وبصلة الأرحام.

الطمأنينة التي تتشكّل حين نترك ما يفوق قدرتنا، ونقبل بما بين أيدينا، فنصنع المعنى بأنفسنا.

It is filled with a balanced blend of cotton and polyester, carefully chosen to achieve harmony between softness and structure. Comfortable to use, visually present without excess.
All fabrics are selected with intention from local shops and personally curated by the artist to align with the spirit of the work and its cultural grounding. They harmonize naturally with the atmosphere of Saudi homes and traditional majlis spaces we grew up in—and continue to choose today for gatherings, occasions, and shared moments.
The artist chose the eight-pointed Islamic star with its intersecting fourfold geometry as the central visual element—a form deeply rooted in our visual and spiritual identity, and present in our collective memory. This symbol is woven into familiar fabrics we recognize from our everyday homes, allowing the piece to feel like an extension of what we know and feel, rather than something foreign to the space.
As time has passed and styles have shifted, our perception of the majlis has changed. At times, it has come to feel ordinary. Yet with time, we embraced it—and made peace with it.
Not because it is merely a space, but because it is a space we fill with ourselves:
with coffee and tea cups, generosity and warmth, joy, and the bonds of kinship.
