💎 هذا الصيف عاد العالم كله إلى «الأوديسة»: ملحمة هوميروس التي عمرها ثلاثة آلاف عام صارت الحدث السينمائي الأكبر في 2026. رحلة البحر، والتيه، والرجل الذي يقاتل ليعود إلى بيته.

📜 وقبل خمسة وخمسين عامًا، صدرت في القاهرة رواية أخذت الفكرة نفسها ونقلتها إلى الإسكندرية: «أوديسا العصر الحديث - غالانوس» للروائي اليوناني ميشيل بيرينيس. لكن أوديسة هذه الرواية معكوسة — ليست رحلة عودة إلى الوطن، بل رحلة خروج منه: يونانيو مصر وهم يغادرون على آخر باخرة تبحر إلى ميناء بيريه، والأمتعة تُحمل في قوارب صغيرة نحو السفينة، والعائلات تتفرق على الشاطئ في اللحظة الأخيرة، وأحدهم يبقى على البر بينما تُبحر السفينة بمن فيها.

🖋️ ترجمها وقدّم لها الدكتور حسن عون، وصدرت عن الهيئة المصرية العامة للتأليف والنشر سنة 1971، وثمنها المطبوع على غلافها الخلفي ثلاثون قرشًا — رقم يقول وحده كم من الزمن مرّ.

🎨 وغلافها من أجمل ما أنتجه التصميم المصري في تلك الحقبة: أمواج زرقاء متلاحقة تملأ الصفحة، ورجل واقف وحده في قارب صغير، مرسوم بخط أسود بسيط. صورة تختصر الكتاب كله قبل أن تقرأ منه سطرًا.

💎 This summer the whole world returned to the Odyssey: Homer's three-thousand-year-old epic became the largest cinematic event of 2026 — the sea voyage, the wandering, the man fighting his way home.

📜 Fifty-five years earlier, a novel appeared in Cairo that took the same idea and set it in Alexandria: "The Odyssey of the Modern Era - Galanos" by the Greek novelist Michel Perinis. But this odyssey runs in reverse — not a journey home, but a journey out of it: the Greeks of Egypt departing on the last steamer bound for Piraeus, luggage ferried out in small boats, families parting on the shore at the final moment, one of them left standing on land as the ship sails with the rest aboard.

🖋️ Translated and introduced by Dr Hassan Aoun, published by the Egyptian General Book Organisation in 1971. The price printed on the back cover — thirty piastres — tells you on its own how much time has passed.

🎨 Its cover is among the finest Egyptian design of that period: rolling blue waves filling the page, and a single figure standing alone in a small boat, drawn in simple black line. An image that sums up the whole book before you read a line of it.
