The Social Return on Investment in Sustainability (SROI) workshop, offered by the Sustainability Professionals Academy (SPA), is a practical professional training program designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to measure, evaluate, and communicate the social value generated by sustainability initiatives.

Through practical exercises, Saudi-focused case studies, and SROI calculations, participants will learn how to translate social outcomes into measurable monetary values and use evidence to support better investment decisions.

The workshop connects SROI methodology with Saudi Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Understand SROI Fundamentals: Explain SROI principles and distinguish between inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes.
2. Identify Stakeholders and Map Outcomes: Define assessment boundaries, identify affected groups, and develop outcome maps.
3. Measure and Monetize Social Value: Select appropriate evidence and evaluate financial proxies relevant to Saudi Arabia.
4. Calculate SROI Ratios: Apply deadweight, attribution, displacement, duration, drop-off, and discounting to calculate and interpret SROI results.
5. Align with Vision 2030 and SDGs: Connect evidenced social outcomes with national sustainability priorities and relevant SDG targets.
6. Report and Improve Social Impact: Communicate results, address uncertainty, identify negative outcomes, and recommend evidence-based improvements.
